"Why learning with tales?"

Tales’s mission is to investigate the impact of oral and digital storytelling in education and to create a set of cognitive tools to empower teachers to introduce storytelling into their practice more effectively.

The main aim of the project is to develop new teaching methods and materials involving storytelling and include them as innovative approach and new content in initial teacher training courses.

The Tale's target are students from 6 to 18, but firstly, they will make teachers to become professional storytellers, cooperating with schools, to make them aware of the didactic potential of their art.

Tale´s project is simple; take storytelling as an effective educational tool

What do you understand by ‘planning story-based lessons’?

The aspects that must be considered should be the following: as first point staffs have an interesting story to tell that is, the key of storytelling is to provide listeners with a good history, if you don't have a story worth listening to, no one will listen. The key, as well we say is focusing your audience first. Then, to plan a good story, we must correctly match vocabulary and language corresponds to the course level, this would be proposing exercises class as that they have previously chosen for the activity.

Finally note that it is very important to stimulate our students , through all kinds of facial expressions, movements produced by the game already that all this would make it easier to learn provisions, as well as add many details as possible and a good place to develop our history.

We will also have to choose who is going to tell the story, in English; it is common to use a Narratorto tell a story in third person. For example, ‘Simon left his car and walked towards the empty house.’ This is a popular way to tell a story, because it is easy to talk about what they think all the characters and the Narrator can mention things that the characters cannot have noticed and that will be important later in the story.

Another good resource would be the one we use in our history, and it is that let the characters talk .

Last, but not more important should never miss the structure of the story, opening, complication, crisis and resolution, something that always helps us develop it in a good way and not lose the organization.
