Activity: ‘Introducing characters’.

This activity is intended that students know the characters that are part of the story. Therefore, students will already have an idea about the tale.

  • Wolf (bad, scary, gobbles)

  • Grandma (good)

  • Woodcutter (good, strong, brave)

Activity: ‘Healthy Food’

In this activity, children will separate in four groups and each group will draw on their paper 3 healthy food and 3 unhealthy food. Before children starts drawing, teacher will show one example of healthy food and unhealthy food.

Post-telling activities

Activity: ‘Labyrinth’.

The students should follow the right path so little Red Riding Hood arrives safely at her grandmother's House without going through the feared Wolf.

Activity: ‘Body parts’.

Write down all the parts of the Wolf that are named in the story.

With this activity we want our students to prove a good understanding of the story and the language used. At the same time they make a review of some parts of the body vocabulary. It would useful to play the famous game “Simon says” after the activity in order to reinforce what they have learnt.
